The Campaign Map

The star map of the Campaign should contain a number of systems around which the action of the Campaign will center. A hex-gridded map is easiest to use, and the suggested scale is 1 hex = 1 Light Year. Refer to the map provided with the Campaign Scenario for an example.

Movement of fleets (groups of FTL-capable ships) on the map can be either drawn directly onto the map, or coloured counters or map pins can be used to represent one 'fleet'. The actual strength of the fleet can be anything from a couple of Scoutships up to a full Dreadnought Battle Squadron- the owning player is the only person who knows what each fleet marker really represents!

Each 'Turn' of movement on the map represents approximately one week, and in that turn each fleet of FTL ships can move up to 6 hexes (or 6 Light Years, if you are using a different map scale) in any direction.

In future games I may introduce differing tech for FTL allowing for different speeds.
