For this first run at the campaign we'll not bother with an Umpire. At this point the campaign system is going to be reasonably manual and anyone that wants to take on tasks can do so after talking with the other players. Just so that we know who's doing what. In the future I may run a blind game, which will require an umpire to manage movement and encounters. In a blind game the players shouldn't know where the other players are... Ultimately, I would like to move many of the functions of the Umpire to the website. Players will need to interact more with the site but a lot of processing will hopefully become automated. |
